Bri Murphy is an Americana singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN, known for her evocative storytelling and soulful melodies. Growing up northwestern Wisconsin, Bri's musical journey began at the age of four when she first picked up the violin. This early start fostered a lifelong passion for music, which soon expanded to include songwriting and poetry—a craft she has honed for as long as she can remember.
In 2016, Bri made her mark on the Americana scene with the release of her debut EP, "Throw Down My Heart." This collection of heartfelt songs showcased her ability to blend poignant lyrics with rich, acoustic soundscapes, earning her a dedicated following. The title track was chosen as a semifinalist in the 2016 International Songwriting Competition.
Since then, Bri has continued to captivate audiences with her authentic and introspective music, releasing two full-length albums (“Things We’d Rather Not Say” in 2018 and “Wild and Sweet” in 2022), and several singles that highlight her growth as an artist. She has shared the stage with artists such as Chris Stapleton and Tanya Tucker, and she has been lucky enough to share her musical talents with audiences from all over the United States, to Canada and Japan.
